Do I have to purchase a separate ticket to be able to get to the Concert?
No, admission to the concert is included in the price of your Trackside, Gold, Platform or Corporate Ticket valid for that day. (Excludes Oasis Ticket). Please note: If you purchase an Oasis Ticket, you will need to purchase an upgrade ticket to attend the concert.
What are the entry conditions for children?
Children 12 years of age and under are provided with free entry into the Trackside (GA) area when accompanied by a paying adult (18 years+) Ticketmaster ticket holder. Children aged 12 years and under are provided with free access to the Event in the Trackside area (General Admission) only according to these conditions:
- They are accompanied and supervised at all times by a paying adult aged 18 and over.
- This offer applies to Grandstand, Platform and Trackside TicketMaster ticket holders only. This does not apply to corporate ticket holders
- The free-of-charge children’s entry offer provides access to Trackside (General Admission) areas only regardless of whether or not a grandstand ticket or reserved seating area ticket is held by the accompanying adult (unless the child is ages 3 years and under).
- Children aged 3 years and under may be provided with free access to the same grandstand or reserved seating area with an accompanying adult (if the adult has an applicable ticket) according to these conditions:
- They are accompanied at all times by a paying adult, aged 18 and over
- When in a grandstand or reserved seating area, they sit at all times on the lap of the accompanying adult and do not occupy their own seat.
If a child causes disruption to other patrons in a grandstand or reserved seating area they and their accompanying adult will be required to exit the grandstand at the direction of the Commission.
Please note only children 3 and under will gain access to the Gold Zone. For entry of a child aged between 3-12 years (inclusive) into a grandstand or Gold Zone a separate grandstand ticket must be purchased.
Children over 3 years of age will only be given access to the Trackside area and must be supervised at all times.
Can Grandstand and Platform ticket holders access the Trackside and Oasis areas?
Can Trackside ticket holders access the Grandstand Gold Zone Areas?
No. Trackside ticket holders are not permitted access to any of the grandstands, platforms or reserved seating areas. Refer to the Track Map for more information.
What is a Paddock Pass and where can I purchase them?
A Paddock Pass is entry to the area immediately behind Pit Lane where you can get up close and personal with your favourite drivers, crews, cars and teams. It’s your opportunity to see the massive Transporters, get an autograph, and take a photo and spot celebrities that are attracted to the best race around.
Prices are as below:
4 Days - $40 | Thursday - $15 | Friday - $15 | Saturday - $25 | Sunday - $30
Tickets available to purchase on circuit at the Supercar Paddock Gate over all 4 days.
Ticket prices include all charges. Children 12 and under are admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult Paddock Pass holder.
Tickets entitle the holder access to the paddock area behind the Pit Pavilions on the day(s) printed on the ticket. It does not gain entry to Pit Straight or Pit Lane. It does not gain entry into the event. Tickets are not transferable and non-refundable.
Are companion cards accepted?
Yes - Companion Card is a card issued to people with a permanent disability who require attendant care support which allow a companion to enter free of charge to participating venues and activities.
A companion is anyone who provides essential attendant care support to a person with a significant and permanent disability.
If you are a companion card holder you are eligible to purchase any Trackside ticket or a seat in selected grandstands and your carer will receive free entry into the 2017 Clipsal 500 Adelaide.
NOTE: To be eligible for this offer you must present your companion card upon purchase of ticket and at the entry gate of the event. Until sold out.
Is there discount for Students?
If you are a Full Time student with a valid Student ID you can receive a discount on all Trackside tickets and Grandstand tickets in Pit Entry and Turn 8. One (1) ticket can be purchased per ID card presented. Tickets can be purchased from any Ticketmaster Agency or at the gate during the event.
NOTE: To be eligible for this offer you must present your valid Student ID Card upon purchase of tickets and at the gate when you enter the event. ID is required for secondary and tertiary students only. Students under 12 do not require ID.
Can I purchase single day grandstand tickets?
YES, daily Grandstand tickets are now available in Pit Entry, Pit Straight, Turn 8, Pirie Street and Chicane grandstands. Tickets provide access to all areas of the Clipsal 500 Adelaide circuit including the Gold Zone, Pit Straight Adrenaline Bar and after race entertainment on the concert oval on the same valid day.
Are there Junior grandstand tickets?
Kids aged 4 - 15 years who wish to occupy a reserved seat can purchase a Junior Grandstand ticket. Maximum of 4 children permitted with 1 full paying adult.

Can you purchase tickets on the day of the race?
Yes. Tickets can be purchased at the Ticketmaster box offices at gates 1, 3, 6, 7, 9 and 10.
Can I upgrade my ticket?
Yes - The ticket purchaser is the only person who can upgrade the ticket and it has to be done at the event at Gate 1. Oasis tickets can be upgraded before entering the Trackside area North of Bartels Road.
What do I do if I lose my ticket?
Lost tickets can be printed at Gate 1 during the event at no charge. Only the credit/debit card holder is entitled to collect the replacement tickets upon presentation of their credit/debit card used to make the booking with sufficient photo identification.
There is no replacement for Trackside General Admission tickets.
Can I use a Ticketmaster voucher to purchase Clipsal 500 Adelaide tickets?
Yes. All Ticketmaster outlets accept Ticketmaster vouchers for Clipsal 500 Adelaide tickets.
What's the Adrenaline Bar?
Spectators with access to the Gold Zone (Grandstand and Platform Tix) can head to the Pit Straight Adrenaline Bar with excellent track views and premium beverages.
With seating provided, fans can perch themselves right next to the heart-pumping on-track action.
Will there be Air Displays?
Yes! The RAAF Hawk 127 will do an aircraft display on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, including the National Anthem Salute. For times on these displays, visit the What's On page for more information.
What do the Australian Defence Force showcase?
The ADF showcases state-of-the-art Army and RAAF equipment, and offers hands-on experiences and some pretty mean machinery. In 2017, it will also include a Working Dogs display.
What is Bands on Track?
Music SA has partnered with The Motor Sport Group, to present Bands On Track - a feast of South Australian live music as part of the Clipsal 500 Adelaide After Race Concert Series.

Who are the Bands on Track artists for 2017?
Music SA has announced that Playback 808 and DC & DRAGZ will support the Friday Night concert line up of Hilltop Hoods with special guests Seth Sentry, the Funkoars and Aaradhna.
Battlehounds and The Byzantines will support the Saturday night line up of Hunters & Collectors, with special guests Baby Animals.
Are there disabled viewing areas at the Concerts?
There is a disabled viewing platform on the southern side of the After Race Concert Oval. This is a raised platform for people in wheelchairs – No seats available for carer. A disabled toilet is provided for this facility.
What are the dates for the 2017 event and beyond?
Dates for Clipsal 500 Adelaide 2017 are March 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th.
Dates have not yet been confirmed for the 2018 event. We are advised of the dates for the following year by Supercars once they have announced the whole Virgin Australia Supercar Championship Calendar. What is the 'Declared Period' referred to with respect to road/lane closures?
The period of 12.01 am Wednesday 1 March to 12.01 am Monday, 6 March 2017 (5 days) is referred to as the Declared Period according to the South Australian Motor Sport Act 1984. The Declared Period refers to the time which the event area is secured from public access.
Are there any employment opportunities available during the event?
Various paid and unpaid opportunities are available pre, during and post the Clipsal 500 Adelaide. To make enquiries regarding employment during the 2017 Clipsal 500 Adelaide, please click here.
iEDM are the Engineering Project Manager for the Clipsal 500 Adelaide and they co-ordinate contractors working on the event build and dismantle process. Please call iEDM Brisbane headoffice on 07 5668 9677, they should be able to assist you with employment information for construction work.

How can I get a retail display/activation site?
The 2017 Clipsal 500 Adelaide provides a great opportunity for businesses of all sizes to promote and sell their products. We offer a range of options including the ability to hold a trade stand or the option of promotional staff distributing product information to a captive audience.

How do I become an Official?
To be eligible for an official’s position you will need to:
- Possess a current CAMS officials licence
- Must have worked as an official on a regular basis at other motorsport events (3 + events in the past year) i.e. state & club level events at Mallala or similar.
- Officials need to be available for all four days of the event.
If needed, we suggest that you contact the CAMS hotline on 1300 883 959 to obtain further experience.
Existing officials are normally sent out the application form around September (once the Clipsal 500 Adelaide dates have been announced).

In the email please include your postal address, contact number and state all recent experience you have had as a CAMS Official. Depending on availability, an Officials Application Form will then be sent out for you to complete.

Who is the nominated charity partner for the 2017 event?
OZHARVEST will have the opportunity to run fundraising initiatives at and in conjunction with the event to raise funds for their charity. Past charities have raised between $20k to $100k! Read more about it here.
Where can resident who reside close to the track obtain information concerning their access?
Road closure information can be found here. Residents and businesses will have access to their properties at all times, except those on the perimeter of the circuit. The Community Relations Coordinator can be contacted on (08) 8306 5500 (From Jan 2017)
Those residents and businesses within the fence line will be individually visited to clarify their access. All required tickets will be distributed before the event.
A ‘Local Resident and Business Information’ brochure will be delivered via residents and businesses letterboxes approximately mid / late January.

What time do gates open and close on each day of the event?
Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday all gates OPEN at 8.00 am.
Gate 1 remains open 24 hours, with Security in attendance. Concert gates close approx 8pm Thursday, 12 midnight Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Where can I buy Clipsal 500 Adelaide merchandise?
Merchandise will be available at several locations within the circuit during the event. These can be located on the Track Map using the legend. Merchandise can be ordered online here.
Can I buy a Hot Lap?
Clipsal 500 Adelaide do not provide Fast Laps / Hot Laps. These are controlled by the racing teams, so to organise a Fast Lap / Hot Lap you will need to contact the teams direct. You can get their contact details from the Supercars Website www.supercars.com.au
Trackskill also do hot laps at Mallala, you can contact them on (08) 8262 9822 or visit their website www.trackskill.com.au
Is Car Parking available for ticket holders at the event?
Entry to Car Park 1 is through Gate 1A near the corner of South Tce & East Tce. A Car Park 1 pass is required to enter this area. The car park one parks will be available to Corporate and Pole Position patrons. A flyer will be sent out approximately mid-November with posted Pole Position Tickets on how to purchase and pricing for the 4 days. Price for 2017 = $80
Car park numbers are very limited and will be sold on a first received basis.
Public Parking will be available daily from 7am in the Public Car Park, adjacent to the Circuit, entering from Fullarton Road. A parking fee of $25 per car per day will apply. Eftpos facilities are not available.
Car park is staffed from 6.30am for those who require access before 7am.
Motorbikes are charged a reduced rate of $5.
Is there Disabled car parking available for ticket holders at the event?
The Clipsal 500 Adelaide provides several locations for disability parking:
- Near Gate 1 adjacent to East Tce; and
- On Dequetteville Tce near Gate 7.
Use of these car parks requires an Australian disability parking permit and a Clipsal 500 Adelaide disability parking permit.

Are there arrangements for mobility impaired persons and their carers?
Yes, Special needs tickets can be purchased from any Ticketmaster Agency or at the gate during the event. For those wheelchair bound patrons, Grandstand tickets are available in the Hairpin and Chicane Grandstands.
* Total ticket price includes access for both wheelchair patron and carer into the event. Grandstand seating subject to availability.
What to Bring
What can I bring to the event?
Small foam ice boxes / small foam eskys, folding chairs (into the Trackside areas only), but are NOT allowed to be taken into the Grandstands or reserved seating areas. Soft drinks and packed lunches are fine. Non-alcoholic beverages with the manufacturer’s seal intact are allowed. You can bring in refillable bottles, however they must be empty upon entering and can be filled at one of our water stations inside the event.
What can't I bring to the event?
Any alcoholic beverages; any glass bottles or containers or glass objects (excluding sunglasses, binoculars and prescription glasses); any beverage containers with the manufacturer’s seal broken; any drinks coolers or ice boxes (other than one predominantly constructed of polystyrene); any structure or item that may be used to erect a structure, or which is capable of supporting the weight of a person including, without limitation, any chairs, lounges, benches or stools (other than a folding chair or stool); no animals; no weapons of any kind; no fireworks.
Cameras and video cameras may be taken into the circuit area for personal use, however no shots must be sold for monetary gain.
Can folding chairs be brought into the event?
Yes, folding chairs may be brought into the Trackside area only, they are NOT permitted in the Gold Area, Grandstands or Platform areas. The above restrictions are for the safety, comfort and protection of fellow patrons, and must be abided by.
