US Enduro-X star Wally “Wild” Palmer has been confirmed as the final rider to compete in the New Holland Enduro-X, presented by Monster Energy at the 2016 Clipsal 500 Adelaide.
Palmer joins the line-up after US X Games star and veteran enduro rider Mike Brown was forced to withdraw following an ankle injury which requires surgery.
Enduro-X is one of the world’s most popular extreme sports, combining the riding skills of motocross, off-road and trials into one action packed event that Palmer has been accustomed too, with a long history in Enduro-X riding. The US X Games specialist in Australia three years ago for an Enduro-X race and will return to as the replacement for Brown in what is Australia’s largest ever competition on Australian soil.
“The people here are awesome and the fans are into the racing unlike the USA, so I’m super excited to be a part of the event with good people who are into racing like me,” Palmer said.
Palmer will join Dakar Rally champion Toby Price as he prepares to take on the Enduro-X track at the Clipsal 500 Adelaide. The New Holland Enduro-X, presented by Monster, can be seen exclusively across all four days of the Clipsal 500 Adelaide, with riders vying for the inaugural Adelaide Enduro-X Cup in a special feature packed Saturday twilight championship event prior to Saturday night’s concerts.
Tickets to the Saturday Night Enduro-X Cup can be purchased separately giving fans general admission access from 5pm and include an action packed night of entertainment featuring the hottest DJ’s, Bags vs DK, trophy presentations and access to the Saturday night concerts.
